About

Kenneth Roberts is a multi-instrumentalist musician and composer. At the age of two his interest in music became apparent, and when he was four he began formal lessons on the piano. As a teen he toured Europe with the Portland Youth Philharmonic playing viola. Kenneth’s studies of piano and viola, however, were just one aspect of his growing musicianship. While attending high school, a strong interest in composition led him to study with Dr. Walter Saul, an award-winning composer, who was Professor of Music at Warner Pacific University in Portland, Oregon.  Kenneth’s many compositions include works for piano, orchestra, band, and other musical mediums. One of his orchestral works has been performed in Anaheim, California at Disneyland and many of his compositions have been heard internationally in countries including Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, England and Canada.

While in college, Kenneth added to his repertoire of instruments by studying orchestral percussion, guitar and electric bass, performing for several years with his college jazz band. For the next ten years he played with several rock bands performing extensively throughout Oregon and Washington and recorded several albums. During that time Kenneth also ran a private music studio teaching piano, guitar, bass guitar, violin, viola and drums.

Kenneth Roberts is an insightful, intuitive, and passionate person. Of utmost importance to him is the concept of relationship- to the Creator, family, friends, and self. Music, to him, is not a job or a mere interest. It is an integral part of life where self-expression is not hindered by the fallibility of words, but comes straight from the soul in the form of music.
